Jesús is in love with Christ and wants to serve Him well wherever Christ leads him. He’s honored that God has called him to serve as an elder at Christ Church. He loves living in the East Bay. Berkeley has always had a special place in his heart, ever since he first arrived in 1981, which was his freshman year at Cal. As a bonus, that was also the year he discovered Bongo Burger! He has worked on the UCB campus for decades, mostly as an academic adviser in the College of Letters and Science. He will retire at the end of June but looks forward to laboring for Christ, at Christ Church and elsewhere, to carry out “the good works” that God has prepared for him.
He has been married to his lovely wife, Melissa, for 35 years and they have two sons — Matt (31) and Joe (29) and their daughter-in-law, Britt — Matt’s wonderful bride. And, finally, comes Izzy, their family dog.
