Wes grew up in Michigan and made his way out to the Bay Area in 2005, by way of Chicago, to go to business school at Berkeley-Haas. He co-founded a venture capital firm in 2011 that invests in mission-driven technology companies focused on sustainability, health, and job creation. Wes lives in Oakland with his wife and three kids and enjoys cooking, cycling, and watching Michigan football.
What is Christ doing in your life right now?
I am part of group at Church that is memorizing scripture together from the Gospel of John. It's been powerful to meditate on and memorize scripture, verse by verse, which allows the words of Jesus to soak into my being. I'm gaining a new perspective on Jesus and the way He calls us to live ("I am the vine; you are the branches").
