Serve at Christ Church
There are many ways to help at Christ Church—we can use your gifts! We always need more people to help welcome newcomers, prepare us for worship, pray, play with the kids, etc. Teams are flexible and can work with your schedule.

Facilities Team
Facilities Team members serve our church community by keeping the property well-maintained and functioning at its best.

CCKids Team
Volunteers help once a month to lead our kids into a deeper relationship with Christ and the church through worship, community and outreach.

CCYouth Team
Mentors engage our youth and their faith through life-on-life discipleship.

Hospitality Team
The Hospitality Team prepares refreshments for coffee hour, allowing new and long-time Christ Churchers to connect, find encouragement, and start new friendships.

Boiler Room Prayer Team
The Boiler Room Prayer Team meets in the Boiler Room at 9:30am on Sundays to pray through every aspect of Sunday morning and for God’s “kingdom to come and will to be done” in the East Bay.

Scripture Reader
The Scripture Reader enunciates the Word of God clearly and with appropriate expression during the worship service.

Welcome Team
The Welcome Team creates an inviting environment for newcomers and returning members every Sunday.

Communion Crew
Members of the Communion Crew set the table from which the congregation is invited to commune with God, one another, and the visible church around the world.

Worship Arts Instrumentalists and Vocalists
Members of this team glorify God through excellent and engaging music, ushering our congregation into God’s presence through singing.

Audio/Visual Team
Team members provide the support necessary to operate cameras, online streaming platform, and slides for Sunday worship, making it possible for people around the world to hear the gospel proclaimed.

Events Team
The newly-formed Events Team is for people who would like to work alongside Maria Francis to put on church-wide events (e.g., Lessons & Carols reception, Easter coffee hour) or smaller gatherings like lunch for the Belonging Class.
Serve the East Bay
Christ Church partners with a number of organizations to serve our neighbors in the Berkeley/Oakland area.

Loaves & Fishes
